The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is seeking a seasoned Chief Public Safety Vehicle Mechanic for the Department of Fire Services in Stow, MA. You will lead a skilled team, ensuring reliable operation of a diverse fleet including fire apparatus, heavy trucks, trailers and support vehicles.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing complex engine and electrical systems, maintaining safety and environmental standards, and administrating repair schedules and parts inventory.

Competenze

• Massachusetts Class A/B CDL required.
• ASE certifications in Automobile and/or Medium/Heavy Truck required.
• Hoisting license (Class 3A/4A) preferred.
• 609 EPA certification required.
• OEM vehicle/systems certifications preferred.

Mansioni

• Oversee repair and maintenance of a large fleet including fire apparatus and emergency vehicles.
• Supervise diagnosis, repair and maintenance of engines and vehicle systems.
• Monitor shop conditions for environmental compliance and safety.
• Schedule and track repair work, expenses, and inventory.

Formazione

Massachusetts CDL Class A/B

ASE A-Series / T-Series Certifications

MA Class 3A and/or 4A Hoisting License

609 EPA Certification

OEM Vehicle/Systems Certifications
