Job summary

Mitsubishi Power is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead brownfield power generation projects from concept to closeout. You will drive safety, quality, cost, schedule, and customer satisfaction while guiding high-performing teams and aligning with contract requirements and company standards.

In this role, you will manage large, complex projects or portfolios, communicate with stakeholders and senior leadership, and develop robust financial baselines and recovery plans as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 11 years experience managing large power generation projects.
• Experience managing projects exceeding $200M in value.
• PMP certification preferred but not required.
• Strong ability to analyze technical, contractual, and financial information.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills including cost, risk, and performance evaluation.
• Proficiency with project management, scheduling, spreadsheet, word processing, and technical documentation software.

Responsibilities

• Manage a single large-scale project exceeding $200M or a portfolio of Power Generation projects, including leadership of project teams.
• Communicate project health, risks, and status to stakeholders, customers, sponsors, and senior leadership.
• Capture and document lessons learned and provide summary briefings as required.
• Identify project risks, issues, and opportunities through detailed contract analysis and develop mitigation strategies.
• Develop the project baseline income statement using approved estimates, pricing, and Division of Responsibility (DOR) splits.
• Provide regular cost reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Oversee development and execution of integrated project schedules including critical path activities.
• Ensure appropriate resource allocation and execution against baseline plans.
• Support development of recovery plans when project deviations occur.
• Lead scope expansion initiatives and develop change order technical, pricing, and execution strategies.
• Direct all phases of assigned projects using established project management methodologies, tools, and quality standards.
• Manage formal change control across scope, cost, schedule, performance, and configuration.
• Provide timely performance feedback and support conflict resolution within project teams.
• Support continuous improvement of project management practices and adoption of new processes.
• Contribute to proposal development and bid support activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Excellence Manager
