Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a PMO, Senior Project Lead in Highland Heights, KY. You will drive multiple cross-functional projects, implement scalable PMO frameworks, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor project managers to raise delivery standards.

You will oversee budgets, planning sessions, and governance while partnering with executives to align strategy with outcomes. This role requires strong leadership and communication across global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 8+ years of experience.
• Degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related field preferred, Master’s degree preferred.
• PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification preferred.
• 3+ years in a PMO or program leadership role preferred.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Agile and Scrum methodologies; PMI-ACP/Lean Six Sigma certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of medium-to-large projects (enterprise-level and cross-functional).
• Align project objectives with organizational strategy and business outcomes.
• Establish governance frameworks, risk registers, and KPI dashboards.
• Lead project planning sessions with executive stakeholders.
• Direct project scope, cost, quality, and change management processes.
• Develop recovery and mitigation strategies for high-risk projects.
• Ensure all projects comply with PMO standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Manage multi-million-dollar budgets and global resource pools.
• Drive forecasting accuracy, budget adherence, and vendor performance.
