Job summary

DataStaff, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join on a long-term contract in Richmond, VA. This hybrid role requires 2/3 on-site presence and focuses on PMO governance, training coordination, and governance improvement across IT projects.

You will oversee documentation, SharePoint governance, training development, risk management, and cadence reporting using Excel and Power BI. 15+ years IT experience and PMI credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive PMO experience and governance framework knowledge.
• SharePoint document management and governance knowledge.
• Instructional design and training development experience.
• Strong documentation and publishing skills.
• 15+ years IT experience with infrastructure and application development preferred.
• Minimum 10 years overall IT experience.
• MS Office tools proficiency (Project, Visio, Excel).
• PMP or ACP certification or Commonwealth Virginia qualification.
• Experience with VITA Commonwealth IT processes and RFPs preferred.
• Prior VDOT PM experience is a benefit.

Responsibilities

• Update and publish PMO documentation for IT project managers.
• Manage SharePoint Online libraries with governance and accuracy.
• Develop and deliver in-person and virtual PM training materials.
• Serve as risk manager for Commonwealth IT projects.
• Support cadence reporting with Excel and Power BI.
• Provide governance guidance during Planning and execution.
• Ensure project plans include tasks, schedules, risks, and checkpoints.
• Ensure governance structures and metrics are followed in execution.
