Cumming Group in Austin, TX is hiring a Senior Project Manager for Utilities/Natural Gas to lead a $120 million pipeline project at a greenfield data center site. You will own planning through closeout, directing engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning with a focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

The role demands a strong civil construction background, 10+ years in utility or pipeline projects, and proficiency with Primavera P6 and MS Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a civil-related field.
• 10+ years in utility, pipeline, or heavy civil infrastructure.
• Experience with large-scale pipeline projects and $50M+ budgets.
• Experience in EPC, design-build, or owner-rep styles.
• Knowledge of project controls, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, and risk.
• Experience in regulated utility or natural gas environments.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Office suite.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle delivery of a $120M natural gas pipeline project on a greenfield site.
• Provide overall project leadership for planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain master schedules, monitor progress, implement recovery plans.
• Serve as primary liaison between clients, engineering teams, contractors, and regulators.
• Oversee field construction ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and controls.
• Manage contract administration, change orders, and procurement activities.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies affecting cost/schedule.
• Monitor KPIs related to execution, productivity, schedule adherence, and financials.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal utility regulations.
• Support resource planning, subcontractor performance, and client relationships.
• Mentor team members and promote safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
