Cumming Group in Vernon, TX is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Utility Electrical for data center construction, leading full lifecycle delivery of the utility electrical scope.

You will interface with utilities, EPCs, design engineers, vendors, and commissioning teams; high voltage substations and interconnections are core responsibilities. This role demands 12–20+ years of PM experience and strong leadership, with NEC/NESC awareness.

Formación

• 12 to 20+ years of construction PM experience with electrical infrastructure.
• Experience delivering utility substations and high voltage infrastructure.
• Ability to read and manage execution from single line diagrams and protection drawings.
• Proven ability to lead contractors, engineers, utilities, and commissioning teams.
• Knowledge of QA/QC, testing, commissioning, and energization.
• Proficiency with Procore, Primavera P6, or MS Project.

Responsabilidades

• Lead full lifecycle delivery of the utility electrical scope from design to turnover.
• Interface with utilities, EPCs, design engineers, vendors, commissioning teams, and site leadership.
• Manage high voltage substation and switchyard scope including transformers and switchgear.
• Drive interconnection milestones, outages, energization dates.
• Review SLDs, substation layouts, equipment submittals, protection schemes, grounding studies.
• Oversee protection, relaying, SCADA, telecom, metering interfaces.
• Coordinate installation and testing of HV/MV cables, transformers, switchgear, grounding.
• Lead commissioning readiness including FAT/SAT, relay and electrical testing.
• Develop energization, switching, lockout/tagout, outage plans.
• Control schedule, cost, risk, change management, contractor performance.
• Identify constructability and cross-discipline interface risks.
