Job summary

Natural Gas Services Group, Inc. is seeking a PM Technician for Bridgeport to perform advanced scheduled maintenance on natural gas compression equipment. The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and independent field work.

The PM Technician will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair units, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards while supporting operations at remote field sites in the Northeast.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical/industrial maintenance preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in natural gas compression.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and PM schedules.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to remote locations.
• Ability to work independently in outdoor/remote field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and advanced preventative maintenance on natural gas compression units.
• Perform detailed inspections for wear, leaks, inefficiencies, and potential failures.
• Replace filters, fluids, belts, seals, per maintenance schedules.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs to restore efficiency.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and performance trends.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance at all times.
• Travel to customer sites; communicate with supervisors and operations teams.
