Job summary

Natural Gas Services Group, Inc. in Pecos, TX is seeking Field Service Technician I, II, or III for the Pecos/Mentone area to maintain and repair our natural gas compression rental fleet.

Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you will diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, perform maintenance, and ensure safety and environmental standards. This role requires travel to field sites, strong hands-on skills, and a commitment to service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade/technical training a plus.
• Experience as a shop mechanic or field service technician preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills in gas compression systems.

Responsibilities

• Champion and enforce all health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and overhauls as directed by supervision.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose compressor system failures at multiple levels.
• Optimize compression equipment performance and reliability.
• Complete paperwork and assist in training when required.
• Travel to field locations as needed for installations and service.
