Job summary

Stripe is seeking an Engineering Program Manager leader for the Risk Operations Technology Enablement team in the United States. You will build and guide a high‑performing team, partner with Risk Engineering and Product, and shape the technical infrastructure that scales risk reviews and user experience.

You will own mission‑critical processes, coach engineers, evolve the team structure, and promote Stripe’s user‑centric culture while delivering strategic initiatives across the Risk stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience managing program managers who lead complex, cross-functional technical programs.
• Experience partnering with product and engineering throughout the product lifecycle and/or go-to-market.
• Sufficient technical proficiency to clarify architecture, trade-offs, dependencies, and risks for leaders to set direction.
• Excellent analytical skills; you digest complex information and make recommendations.
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Shape and drive alignment on Risk Operations’ technical strategy to meet top-line goals.
• Partner cross-functionally across Risk (eng, product, operations) to execute the technical roadmap.
• Coach a team of engineering program managers with clear vision, goals, and high standards; lead hiring when relevant.
• Occasionally directly drive the most critical technical programs due to their importance or complexity.
• Evolve team structure, strategy, functions, and responsibilities to meet Stripe’s evolving needs.
• Promote Stripe’s values and a transparent, inclusive, user-centric culture.
