Job summary

Stripe is seeking a high-impact Engineering Program Manager to lead a team within Risk Operations Technology Enablement. You will partner with Risk engineering and product to shape technical infrastructure and oversee critical tooling initiatives that protect Stripe and enhance user experience.

As a senior leader, you will coach program managers, refine roadmaps, and ensure delivery of high-priority programs while upholding Stripe's values of transparency, empathy, and inclusion.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing program managers who lead complex, cross-functional technical programs.
• Experience partnering directly with product and engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle and/or go-to-market.
• Sufficient technical proficiency to clarify architecture, trade-offs, dependencies, and risks.
• Excellent analytical skills; you digest complex information and make recommendations.
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills, building strong relationships with stakeholders and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Shape and drive alignment on Risk Operations' technical strategy that enables ambitious top-line goals.
• Partner cross-functionally across Risk (eng, product, operations) to set and execute against the technical roadmap.
• Coach a team of engineering program managers to lead technical programs, provide guidance, vision, and hiring input.
• Occasionally drive the most critical programs directly when strategic importance or ambiguity requires senior influence.
• Evolve the team structure, strategy, functions, and roles to meet Stripe's evolving needs.
• Transmit and foster Stripe's user-centric values and culture of transparency, empathy, inclusion, and empowerment.
