Job summary

Pepper Construction Group is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to lead complex retail construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

The role drives project performance, builds strong client relationships, and leads high-performing teams to deliver exceptional results. From national brands to regional retailers, you will oversee occupied renovations, fast-track schedules, and critical store openings with accountability and a commitment to quality.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction management experience across diverse markets.
• Demonstrated experience managing retail, commercial interiors, tenant improvement, renovation, or ground-up retail construction projects is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing projects in occupied facilities, phased renovations, accelerated schedules, or customer-facing environments is highly desirable.
• A high level of communication and interpersonal skills is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex retail construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Build strong client relationships and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Estimate, value engineer and develop project budgets.
• Plan and schedule projects and manage subcontractor coordination.
• Proactively manage project costs and forecast profitability through project completion.
• Drive collaboration and mentor project management staff.
