Job summary

Umba, a pan-African digital bank operating in Kenya and Nigeria, seeks a Senior Product Manager to own end-to-end product strategy and execution for fintech offerings. You will collaborate with senior leadership to chart the next bets, writing specs for AI agents and shipping with Claude Code when faster than handoffs.

You will operate in an AI-native environment, prototyping in Claude Design and coordinating across regulatory, risk, and commercial stakeholders to drive measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product management.
• Experience shipping consumer/SME fintech products.
• Ability to measure outcomes by revenue/growth metrics.
• Strong cross-functional coordination.
• SQL proficiency or willingness to learn in week one.
• Experience using AI tools in product workflows.
• Ability to read financial regulatory guidance.

Responsibilities

• Own roadmap and delivery end-to-end across product lines.
• Write specs for engineers and AI agents.
• Prototype concepts in Claude Design.
• Ship small PRs with Claude Code.
• Coordinate across leadership, Engineering, Data, Credit, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Marketing.
• Own launch comms and internal enablement.
• Track outcomes against revenue, growth, or risk metrics.
• Run delivery in Linear.
• Manage cadence with Engineering.
