Job summary

RTI in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Sr. Product Manager to drive the future of real-time software for Aerospace & Defense. You’ll own Connext strategy supporting defense programs across land, sea, air, and space.

You’ll translate mission requirements into clear product needs, shape the roadmap with R&D, and ensure the platform solves real-world defense problems while focusing on UAS, autonomy, maritime, C-UAS, and JADC2.

Qualifications

• Experience in a product role within Aerospace & Defense domains (PM/PO/Platform Architect).
• Experience supporting DoD, OEMs, or Tier-1 primes in A&D programs. US military veteran status is a plus.
• Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, funding mechanisms (OTAs), and strategic initiatives.
• Familiarity with DDS, real-time systems, or distributed communication software.
• Hands-on experience developing or marketing autonomy, UxV, or C2 software.

Responsibilities

• Own the A&D product direction and drive the roadmap.
• Build a deep view of UAS, autonomy, maritime, and C-UAS requirements and how they shape needs for distributed systems.
• Translate customer/mission requirements into clear product requirements, use cases, and roadmap proposals.
• Represent the voice of the defense customer and conduct product discovery.
• Validate roadmap direction with key customers and convert insights into actionable decisions.
• Shape RTI’s platform for A&D use cases and identify capability gaps.
• Prioritize capabilities with Product and Engineering teams for security, interoperability, and performance.
• Collaborate with Sales and BD to optimize pricing, licensing, and adoption in target accounts.
• Develop product positioning to support go-to-market and differentiate RTI.
