Job summary

athenahealth is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead key areas of the athenaCollector revenue cycle platform, focusing on payer electronic connectivity and core practice configuration. You will support customer onboarding, including connectivity and scale, based in Boston, MA with in-office presence one day per week.

Reports to the Product Management Director and collaborates across teams to improve connectivity and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product management, incl. 4+ years in US healthcare revenue cycle.
• Experience enabling electronic transactions with payers, clearinghouses, and trading partners (ERA, EFT, EDI).
• Ability to automate workflows using AI, APIs, and third-party connectors.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in product management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute automation-first product vision, strategy and roadmap for electronic transactions with payers and clearinghouses, plus core practice configuration.
• Develop work management solutions to prioritize, assign, track, and complete payer connectivity work.
• Build visibility tooling (dashboards, health monitoring, alerts) to track connectivity and revenue health.
• Drive execution across engineering pods with clear ownership and high-priority focus.
• Use data to identify problems, define success metrics, and track outcomes for impact.
• Partner with leadership to drive portfolio strategy and KPI alignment.
