Job summary

M&J Engineering is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Municipal Capital Programs and Project Delivery with deep Massachusetts public-sector experience and a track record of moving capital projects from planning and procurement through design, construction, and closeout.

This is an opportunity to help build and shape a growing Massachusetts operation, develop client relationships, lead municipal capital projects, mentor team members, and deliver meaningful work for public-sector clients.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience in MA public-sector capital programs.
• Experience managing public capital projects from planning to closeout.
• Strong relationships with MA municipalities and public agencies.
• Experience with municipal procurement, design-build and CM-at-Risk is valued.
• Excellent written, presentation and client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with MA leadership to grow and deliver municipal/public-sector capital-programs.
• Lead projects from planning and procurement through design, construction and closeout.
• Serve as trusted advisor to municipal/public-agency clients on capital-program issues.
• Provide Owner's Representative/OPM, PM/CM, design-management and construction-administration services.
• Manage scope, budgets, schedules, risk, quality and stakeholder coordination.
• Lead construction-phase activities including constructability, contractor coordination, cost and schedule oversight and closeout.
• Assist clients with procurement and MA public-project delivery requirements.
• Support capital planning and development of multi-project programs.
• Manage multiple projects and assignments for public-sector clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with municipalities and public agencies across MA.
• Identify follow-on opportunities within existing client accounts.
• Lead and contribute to proposals, interviews, capture planning and business-development.
• Help recruit and develop the next generation of MA project-delivery staff.
