Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Program Manager to oversee a large, complex modernization program across multiple sites in the Washington, DC area.

You will manage cost, schedule, technical compliance, and contract requirements while directing contractor teams and ensuring successful delivery of key modernization initiatives. You will lead stakeholder engagement with Government leadership, coordinate with Contracts, Legal, and Supply Chain, and drive program

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of IT project management in the last 10 years.
• Minimum two years as program manager of a major enterprise infrastructure upgrade for a DoW customer.
• Minimum two years managing multiple IT/Communication projects with an IMS/WBS approach.
• Recent experience with wireless and private mobile network infra projects incl. 5G.
• Current PMI/PgMP certification.
• At least two years in last five years managing multi‑order programs under Cost Plus.
• Strong oral/ written communication with Government leadership.
• Knowledge of DoW or federal contracting regs and acquisition processes.
• Experience with contract changes, REAs, and proposal development.
• Coordination with Contracts, Legal, Supply Chain, and Subcontracts on large software/hardware purchases.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance and 25%+ CONUS travel.
• PM located in Washington, DC commuting area; potential remote/hybrid work.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large, complex modernization program across multiple sites.
• Oversee cost, schedule, technical compliance, and contract alignment.
• Provide leadership for contractor personnel and ensure coordinated execution and delivery.
• Engage stakeholders at all levels, report issues, and guide program strategy.
• Identify programmatic or resource risks early and communicate them to leadership.
