Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a Birmingham, AL-based commercial construction role. You will own projects from preconstruction through completion, developing schedules, budgets, and plans while coordinating owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of PM experience, a strong background in ground-up commercial construction, and a track record managing $5M-$40M projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction Project Management experience.
• Background managing ground-up, commercial construction projects.
• Experience with projects ranging from $5M-$40M.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, and plans.
• Coordinate owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Review plans, specifications, contracts, and documents.
• Manage costs, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and pay applications.
• Lead project meetings and communicate with stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, quality, safety, and financials.
• Identify issues and develop solutions to stay on schedule and budget.
• Provide leadership to Assistant PMs and project staff.
• Maintain relationships with clients and design teams.
