Job summary

GFT in Roseville, CA is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the Geotechnical, Dams, and Hydraulics team on complex water resources projects.

You will supervise engineers and professionals, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and collaborate with public agencies and clients to deliver safe, compliant infrastructure.

The role combines field travel within Northern California with a hybrid work model and a strong emphasis on professional development and client relationships.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience managing design projects from conception to completion.
• ABET-accredited B.S. degree required.
• PE license in CA or ability to obtain within 18 months; strong PM skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare task order proposals, budgets, and client agreements with state/local agencies.
• Lead design and technical aspects of projects, including calculations, reports, permitting, and client presentations.
• Direct and manage project teams and coordinate with internal/external resources for regional hydropower facilities.
• Coordinate input from hydraulic, geotechnical, seismic, and instrumentation teams.
• Support asset rehabilitation programs for water/power clients across diverse geographic areas.
• Prepare responses to RFQs and solicitations.
• Develop and maintain client relationships with public officials and community leaders.
• Oversee project milestones with stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.
• Support business development activities, including scope, schedule, and budgets for proposals.
• Mentor staff and develop other PMs.
