Job summary

A-TEK Inc. is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to support a federal customer with projects ranging from application development to cloud migrations. The role is primarily remote with occasional travel to the client site in the Research Triangle, NC area.

You will lead IT professionals, enforce PMBOK-based processes, ensure schedule and cost controls, and deliver SOW requirements on time and under budget, in a disciplined, security-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related IT or business field with 8+ years of leadership in IT projects.
• 3+ years leading IT solutions and software development projects in a federal environment.
• Prior PM delivery experience on federal contracts preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
• Familiar with JIRA, HP ALM, MS Project, MS Word/PowerPoint/Excel, Deltek/CostPoint.
• Ability to obtain and retain a public trust clearance.
• PMP is required; ITIL and Agile/Scrum Master are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex project problems and create innovative solutions for schedule and cost.
• Provide system analysis and long-range planning for applications and production activities.
• Apply PMI PMBOK principles to management of DME software development efforts.
• Ensure team adherence to processes in a CMMI-DEV Level III environment.
• Communicate project plans to team and stakeholders; delegate tasks and estimate resources.
• Deliver all SOW requirements on time and under budget; monitor lifecycle activities.
