Job summary

A-TEK, Inc. seeks a seasoned Senior Project Manager to support a federal client in the Research Triangle, NC area. You will lead IT professionals on large, complex projects, coordinate requirements, and ensure on-time delivery with budget discipline.

Responsibilities include applying PMI PMBOK practices, managing schedules and resources, and communicating plans to government leads. A minimum of 3+ years in federal project management is required; PMP is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT/CS/Engineering/Business and 8+ years of IT project leadership.
• 3+ years’ experience leading IT solutions and software development projects in a federal environment.
• Experience delivering federal contracts; primary PM delivery.
• Ability to obtain public trust clearance.
• Familiar with JIRA, HP ALM, MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Deltek/CostPoint.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex project problems and craft innovative schedule, tech, methodology, and financial solutions.
• Provide systems analysis and long-range plans for application development and production activities.
• Apply PMI PMBOK principles to manage development efforts in a mature environment.
• Operate in a CMMI-DEV Level III environment and enforce established processes.
• Communicate project plans to team and stakeholders; delegate tasks and resources.
• Produce weekly and monthly status reports to the Project Officer and stakeholders.
