Job summary

Talent Edge Recruiting seeks a Senior Project Manager – Commercial Electrical in Ocala, FL to lead the commercial PM operation for a growing electrical contractor. You will own the PM team, staff projects, manage budgets and margins, and drive on-time delivery with accountability across the division.

The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years of electrical PM experience, strong leadership, and comfort with project-management systems such as Procore; relocation is possible for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of commercial electrical project management experience.
• 3+ years at a Senior PM/Lead PM/PM Manager level or similar leadership role.
• Strong understanding of commercial electrical construction.
• Experience mentoring other Project Managers is valuable.
• Strong manpower planning and resource allocation experience.
• Experience owning project budgets, WIP, labor, billing, costs, and margins.
• Strong scheduling, procurement, change orders, RFIs, and project closeout experience.
• Ability to make independent decisions without constant escalation.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Comfortable working primarily from the office with field operations awareness.
• Comfortable using technology and project-management systems, Procore preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and quarterback the commercial PM team while continuing to manage projects.
• Take ownership of projects after the estimating/new-business handoff.
• Determine PM, Foreman, and manpower assignments based on project needs and workload.
• Monitor budgets, labor, man-hours, WIP, billing, costs, and margins.
• Hold PMs accountable for project execution and financial performance.
• Review project performance and identify issues before they impact schedule or profitability.
• Coach and mentor PMs to strengthen financial accountability.
• Oversee projects from turnover through closeout including RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, billing, scheduling, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot manpower, material, scheduling, subcontractor, GC, owner, and field issues.
• Serve as primary escalation point for the PM team and make decisions without escalations.
• Coordinate manpower, material needs, long-lead items, and upcoming project needs.
• Collaborate with estimators, PMs, Foremen, warehouse, vendors, subcontractors, and operations.
• Use project data and financial reporting to inform decisions.
• Maintain a field-minded approach to project execution.
