Job summary

Planet is seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive the Analysis Ready Data (ARD) suite, including Mosaics, ARPS, and Fusion. You will collaborate with engineering, design, sales, and customer success to plan requirements, track delivery, and launch products that meet real customer needs.

You will work at the intersection of geospatial, AI-native data tools, and enterprise software, building domain expertise in satellite imagery and analytics while aligning with Planet’s values and leadership

Qualifications

• 6+ years in product management, technical program management, or closely related role.
• Comfort with software development concepts and working with engineering teams.
• Ability to align decisions with technical/strategic roadmap and company values.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build alignment across teams through clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Document product requirements and synthesize customer feedback with engineering for sprint delivery.
• Build and maintain product metric dashboards with data teams (activation, retention).
• Support early-access programs to validate product-market fit with real customers.
• Partner with pre-sales as a product expert to ensure product-customer fit for direct-to-consumer sales.
• Prototype customer-facing solutions using AI tools to demonstrate value of ARD products.
• Join customer meetings as product expert and evangelist for ARD offerings.
• Synthesize customer and sales input into clear use cases and requirements.
• Collaborate with internal Solution builders as a primary user to transition to a solutions-oriented company.
• Contribute foundational data products for AI-native solutions.
