Job summary

GitLab seeks a Senior Product Manager, Source Code, to shape planning and code experiences in an AI-native software lifecycle. You will align planning, code, and reviews, and enable better collaboration between human input and AI agents to drive faster delivery of secure software.

You will work with cross-functional teams to define strategies, balance tradeoffs, and use data to prioritize features that unlock customer value while reducing risk.

Qualifications

• Experience as a product manager for developer tools, DevOps or AI-native products.
• Hands-on understanding of the source code lifecycle from planning to delivery.
• Strong data-driven approach to prioritization and impact evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive product strategy for planning, source code management, and AI-assisted development.
• Shape workflows between intent and code, ensuring traceability from specification to merges.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and other product teams to enable human-in-the-loop and autonomous development.
• Partner with teams on demos and prototypes, exploring spec-driven planning and autonomous modes.
• Use customer insights and market context to identify opportunities that deliver value quickly.
• Balance near-term execution with longer-term product direction to help teams ship fast with quality.
• Explore how planning accounts for reviewing code and validating agent outputs against intent.
• Collaborate across Plan, Source Code Management, Code Review, and AI product areas to reduce lifecycle friction.
