Job summary

GitLab is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Plan to Code, to influence how planning and coding evolve in an AI-native SDLC. You will lead efforts to connect planning with code, enabling faster, higher-quality development across Plan, Source Code Management, Code Review, and AI teams.

You will collaborate with engineering and design to create experiences that enable human-in-the-loop and autonomous development, shaping the next generation of DevSecOps tooling at GitLab.

Qualifications

• Experience as a product manager for developer/DevOps tooling or SDLC products.
• Ability to translate ideas into planning, coding, review, testing, and delivery workflows.
• Comfort working with technical teams and understanding developer workflows.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive product strategy for experiences connecting planning, source code management, and AI-assisted development.
• Shape spec-driven development workflows from requirements to code.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and product teams to support human-in-the-loop and autonomous workflows.
• Partner with teams working on demos and prototypes around spec-driven planning and autonomous development modes.
• Use customer insights and market context to identify opportunities delivering customer value quickly.
• Balance near-term execution with longer-term product direction to enable fast, high-quality shipping.
• Explore how planning accounts for reviewing code and tests and how agents’ work aligns with desired outcomes.
• Collaborate across Plan, SCM, Code Review, and AI to reduce friction in the software lifecycle.
