Job summary

GitLab is building the most comprehensive AI‑powered DevSecOps platform, and this role will shape how planning and coding evolve in an AI‑native software development lifecycle. You’ll help bring planning and code closer together so teams can move from requirements to commits, merge requests, and customer value with speed and quality.

This role sits within the Product organization and requires strong collaboration across Plan, Source Code Management, Code Review, and AI teams.

Qualifications

Experience as a product manager for developer/DevOps tools.
Understanding of the software development lifecycle from planning to delivery.
Ability to work with engineering teams and translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
Data‑driven approach to prioritization and impact.

Responsibilities

Define and drive product strategy for planning, source code management, and AI‑assisted development.
Shape spec‑driven development workflows from requirements to code.
Collaborate with engineering and design to build user‑focused AI workflows.
Partner on demos and prototypes for spec‑driven and autonomous modes.
Use customer insights and usage data to identify quick value opportunities.
Balance near‑term execution with long‑term product direction.
Ensure planning and coding handoff aligns with QA and review processes.
