Job summary

Interstate Mechanical LLC is seeking a Plumbing Superintendent to lead the Plumbing Department on high‑rise and large commercial projects in Phoenix. You will manage field crews and the prefabrication team, control labor and material costs, and ensure on‑time, quality installations while maintaining strong client relations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ verifiable experience as a commercial plumbing superintendent in heavy commercial construction.
• 5+ year clean driving record.
• Ability to work with CAD/BIM with the design and project teams.
• Identify prefabrication opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Excellent work ethic and strong attendance.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Outlook and Word.

Responsibilities

• PLAN, STAFF, and DIRECT Plumbing Department.
• Manage manpower and costs across field and fabrication teams.
• Oversee job cost status on each project at least biweekly.
• Ensure quality installation and customer satisfaction on every project.
• Coordinate with CAD/BIM and prefabrication departments.
• Hire and release employees to balance workload.
• Provide training as needed and lead by example.
• Review submittals for accuracy and compliance.
