Job summary

Interstate Mechanical LLC is seeking an experienced Plumbing Trade Superintendent to lead the Plumbing Department and its field crews on major commercial projects in Arizona. You will manage labor, materials, budgets, and schedules while ensuring Safety and quality installations.

The role requires a current AZ Journeyman license, 7+ years of verifiable plumbing superintendent experience in heavy commercial construction, and strong communication skills to liaise with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of verifiable commercial plumbing superintendent experience in heavy commercial construction (hotels, office buildings, hospitals, casinos).
• AZ Journeyman License - current.
• 5+ year clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, staff, and direct Plumbing Department.
• Identify scope, schedule and cost of field projects.
• Manage manpower for field and fab shop to meet workload.
• Review job cost status biweekly (labor and materials).
• Ensure quality installation and customer satisfaction on every project.
• Coordinate with CAD/BIM dept. on assigned jobs/projects.

Interstate Mechanical (IMCOR), one of Arizona's most well-known and successful Mechanical Contractors, is currently seeking an experienced PLUMBING TRADE SUPERINTENDENT to join our team!

Position Summary

Manages Plumbing department consisting of project field crews and Plumbing Prefabrication crew. Manages labor and material cost for all projects. Responsible for the day-to-day activities of crews on assigned projects. Provides guidance and direction to crews in meeting the budgets and schedule dates on each project. Ensures job quality and customer satisfaction is maintained on every project. Interacts with clients, customers and vendors to build lasting relationships. Creates the type of positive environment that works to maintain a sufficient and qualified work force.

Typical Responsibilities And Duties

• PLAN, STAFF, and DIRECT Plumbing Department
• Understand how to deal with confrontation in a calm and diplomatic manner
• Identify and manage scope, schedule and cost of all field projects
• Manage and maintain manpower for all field and fab shop to meet the current and future workload
• Update and maintain Manpower placement
• Review and manage job cost status on each project on a minimum of a biweekly basis, labor and material (Use provided Job Cost Repor)
• Identify, manage and mitigate any problem areas in the field and fab shop that relate to safety, production, and efficiency
• Set up and maintain manpower list/compensation (Use provided spreadsheet)
• Conduct annual reviews on time
• Hire and release employees as necessary to maintain workload
• Provide training in areas that need attention
• Lead by example by treating people with dignity and respect
• Accountable for Quality Installation of Assigned Jobs/Projects
• Review Submittals for Accuracy and Compliance
• Identify Potential Change Orders
• Review/Approve Time Sheets

Requirements

• Have AZ Journeyman License - Current.
• MUST Have 7+ Years’ Experience of VERIFIABLE Commercial Plumbing Superintendent Experience in Heavy Commercial Construction (Hotels, Office Bldgs., Hospitals, Casinos, etc.)
• Salary will commensurate based on verifiable experience and ability to deliver profitable work
• Must have 5+ Year Clean Driving Record.
• Be Able to Work with CAD/BIM Dept. on All Assigned Jobs/Projects.

• Have Excellent Work Ethic.
