Job summary

Sheet Metal Inc. in Anchorage, Alaska, is seeking a Plumbing Project Manager/Estimator to lead commercial plumbing projects from preconstruction through completion.

You will own execution, budgets, schedules, and coordination of field crews, subs, and vendors. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, extensive PM and estimating experience, and an in-depth understanding of plumbing systems and construction processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in commercial mechanical plumbing construction with PM and estimating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong proficiency in plumbing project management, budgeting, scheduling, and cost estimating.
• In-depth understanding of construction processes, value engineering, cost control.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to work across teams.
• Alaska driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee project execution to meet schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and communicate with clients and engineers.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and resolve issues to prevent delays.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Track budgets, reconcile costs, manage change orders, and prepare reports.
• Oversee procurement and long-lead materials to support project schedules.
• Develop critical path schedules and evaluate long-lead procurement needs.
• Collaborate with clients and engineers to align objectives and budgets.
• Contribute to design management and constructability reviews.
