Job summary

SHP Leading Design is seeking a Senior Plumbing Mechanical Engineer in Greensboro, NC to lead plumbing design for new construction and renovation projects. You will set technical direction, oversee multidisciplinary coordination, and mentor staff, while serving as the primary client liaison.

We value deep technical expertise in plumbing systems and Revit workflows, plus strong communication and project leadership to drive successful outcomes and firm-wide standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 8–10+ years of A/E consulting experience.
• PE licensure required.
• LEED accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee full plumbing engineering design on multiple projects.
• Provide a high level of technical leadership, quality review, and problem-solving.
• Design and evaluate domestic water, sanitary, storm, natural gas, and specialty plumbing systems.
• Represent SHP with clients, contractors, architects, and consultants.
• Prepare and oversee reports, specifications, and final engineering deliverables.
• Establish project budgets, schedules, and staffing plans; ensure projects meet goals.
• Supervise and mentor engineering staff; support development of team capabilities.
• Contribute to business development, proposals, and strategic planning.
