Job summary

Garg Consulting Services, Inc. in Rocky Hill, CT seeks a highly experienced Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer to lead HVAC, plumbing, pumping, and fire protection system design for facilities projects.

You will supervise design efforts, ensure code compliance, and collaborate with clients to deliver projects on time and within budget. The role requires a PE license in CT, at least 10 years of relevant experience, and proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Connecticut.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC system design.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of heating, cooling, ventilation, and hydronic piping systems.
• Familiarity with Building, Fire, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fuel Gas Codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and oversight of HVAC, plumbing, pumping, and fire protection systems for facilities projects.
• Perform load calculations, hydraulic analyses, and pipe sizing.
• Create drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Provide construction-phase support and technical guidance.
• Interface with clients to clarify requirements and resolve challenges.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
• Prepare reports, plans, specifications, and construction documents.
