Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineering Designer to join a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role leads plumbing design from concept through construction, focusing on performance, code compliance, and coordinated delivery across disciplines.

Remote work is offered with a flexible schedule. You will mentor engineers, establish design standards, and help keep multiple projects on track while promoting sustainable design practices and LEED principles where applicable.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of plumbing engineering and design experience.
• In-depth knowledge of IPC, UPC, IFGC, NFPA, and Florida-specific codes.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineering Designer to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space.

This role will lead plumbing design efforts that support a wide range of projects from concept through construction, with a strong focus on system performance, code compliance, and coordinated delivery. You will partner closely with other disciplines, consultants, and contractors to ensure design quality and project alignment. The position also plays an important role in establishing design standards, mentoring team members, and helping keep multiple projects on track.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $118,200 – $147,800 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and develop plumbing systems, including water, sanitary, and gas piping
• Lead plumbing design for projects from concept through construction
• Coordinate with other disciplines, consultants, and contractors
• Conduct QA/QC reviews of plumbing designs and project deliverables
• Develop and maintain plumbing design standards and best practices
• Mentor plumbing engineers and designers to support skill development
• Track project progress, scope, and schedules

Qualifications

• 15+ years of plumbing engineering and design experience
• In-depth knowledge of IPC, UPC, IFGC, NFPA, and Florida-specific codes
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM-based design
• Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED principles
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
