Job summary

Jobot in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineer to lead the design and delivery of plumbing systems for South Florida building projects. You will develop construction documents and coordinate with architects, clients and other MEP disciplines.

The role offers exposure to commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare and municipal projects, with on-site responsibilities across South Florida’s built environment.

Qualifications

• Experience designing plumbing systems for building projects.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing design, calculations and construction documents.
• Experience in an MEP consulting or building-design environment.
• Ability to coordinate plumbing systems across multiple engineering and architectural disciplines.
• Experience producing designs using BIM/Revit and CAD workflows.
• Working knowledge of applicable plumbing and building codes.
• Professional Engineer licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design plumbing and piping systems for new construction and renovations.
• Develop domestic water, sanitary waste, storm drainage, natural gas and related plumbing systems.
• Perform system sizing, engineering calculations and equipment selection.
• Prepare coordinated plumbing drawings, specifications and construction documents.

• Review shop drawings, RFIs and other construction-phase documentation.
• Participate in field surveys, site visits, inspections and construction administration.

This position will develop plumbing designs and construction documents while coordinating closely with architects, clients, project managers and other MEP engineering disciplines.
