Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is expanding our plumbing engineering group and seeking an experienced Senior Plumbing Engineer/Designer to lead plumbing and process piping design from schematic through Construction Administration on healthcare, commercial, multifamily, and educational projects.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior staff, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, and supporting business development.

Qualifications

5+ years in consulting, construction, or similar.
Valid PE license or CPD certification.
Proficient in Revit (BIM).
Strong plumbing design experience (commercial, healthcare, process, multifamily residential and/or manufacturing).
Clear communicator, organized, solution-oriented, able to work independently.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Lead plumbing piping designs and prepare construction documents.
Perform plumbing calculations including: fixture counts, booster pump head, ejector pump head, domestic hot water loads (including heat pump design), storm water, condensate collection, etc.
Coordinate with ownership, mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural teams.
Support Construction Administration: RFIs, submittal reviews, site visits, and field reports.
Adhere to QA/QC policies and escalate issues as needed.
Mentor junior engineers/designers and help grow the local plumbing team.
Assist with Business Development (BD) opportunities when needed.
