Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineer to lead plumbing design teams on mission-critical projects, including data center facilities. You will guide design through conceptual to construction phases, adapting to budgets and client needs.

The role requires ABET-accredited mechanical engineering degrees, FE or PE credentials, and extensive plumbing codes knowledge (ASPE, IPC, UPC). Travel up to 25% is expected, with mentoring of staff and QA/QC duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program; 7 years plumbing experience.
• ABET-accredited mechanical or related degree with FE exam; 7 years plumbing experience.
• Master's in Mechanical Engineering; 6 years plumbing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead plumbing engineering of projects from conceptual phase through design completion.
• Prepare plumbing equipment specifications, RFQs, bid summaries and purchase recommendations.
• QA/QC on plumbing drawings and coordination with other disciplines and field staff.
