Job summary

Dallas County seeks a lead plumber supervisor to guide journey-level maintenance, installation and repair of plumbing systems, ensuring code compliance and safety. The role requires training staff, coordinating with other trades, and supervising as needed.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, 3 years related experience, and a journey license is preferred. A valid Texas driver’s license and ability to pass security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school/GED Program.
• Three (3) years of work related experience (Per Facilities Hiring/Promotion Matrix).
• Journey license preferred.
• One (1) year of work related experience can be substituted for one (1) year of formal training or any combination of the two.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and participates with work crew in plumbing tasks, repairs and maintenance.
• Installs and adds to plumbing systems per plans and blueprints.
• Assists other trades with equipment installation/repair and lawn sprinkler work.
• Trains, instructs and assists plumbers and staff.
• Ensures adequate plumbing supplies are ordered and available.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
