Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited in Rockdale, TX, is seeking a Controls Engineer/PLC Programmer to own automation projects from design through commissioning. The role includes PLC programming from scratch, control panel design, instrumentation, startup support, and local site presence.

The ideal candidate will have a background in controls/automation, with hands-on PLC programming experience, and a desire to progress into a senior position while delivering end-to-end project execution.

Qualifications

• Experience programming PLCs from scratch.
• Experience with control panel design and instrumentation in industrial settings.
• Ability to support projects through build, installation, startup and testing.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end controls project delivery: panel design, PLC programming, instrumentation, startup and testing.
• Program PLCs from scratch and support commissioning at local customer sites.
• Work across water/wastewater automation projects with increasing project coordination responsibility.
• Onsite role based in Rockdale, TX with frequent local travel (day trips, no overnights).
