MSR Technology Group in Battle Creek, MI is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, implement, and optimize plant electrical control systems. You will develop new process controls, improve efficiency, and ensure robust support for production goals across the facility.

The role requires hands-on PLC programming, schematic design, and cross‑functional collaboration with maintenance, engineering, and suppliers. You will continually monitor performance and apply contemporary electrical practices.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of proven experience in industrial control design and programming.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, process analysis, and drafting terminology.

Responsabilités

• Design electrical controls for the plant, including schematics and hands-on implementation.
• Design, program, and update PLC programs for all plant equipment.
• Provide engineering support for capital projects and preventive maintenance.
• Act as SME across departments on electrical topics.
• Partner with outside suppliers to communicate standards and practices.
• Investigate and research developments in electrical technology for potential adoption.
