Job summary

Avancez Assembly in Michigan is seeking a qualified Controls Engineer to design, program, and maintain automated assembly systems. You will apply your knowledge of PLCs, HMI, and industrial controls to improve productivity while meeting customer needs.

You will work cross-functionally with operations and maintenance, review data, support continuous improvement projects, and ensure safety and compliance across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or related fields.
• 2+ years of industry experience with related equipment.
• English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining checklists
• Review and input data into PLC log
• Review shift reports
• Programming
• Work cross functionally with other departments
• Utilize team member feedback
• Find solutions to critical issues
• Maintain and improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE)
• HMI performance
• Evaluate new manufacturing and controls technologies
• Stay up to date on controls technology
