Job summary

GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a Senior Platform Security Engineer to secure engineering platforms, infrastructure, and software supply chains in a large-scale HPC and cloud environment.

This role partners with Platform Engineering, DevOps, Security Operations, and infrastructure teams to detect, assess, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities before they become operational risk. It emphasizes hands-on security across Kubernetes, cloud, Linux, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in security engineering with platform/infrastructure focus.
• Hands-on vulnerability management and security monitoring experience.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenStack, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Experience integrating security tooling into CI/CD pipelines and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Own and mature the vulnerability management program across platforms and cloud services.
• Identify, assess, prioritize, and drive remediation of vulnerabilities in Linux, Kubernetes, OpenStack, and CI/CD environments.
• Lead vulnerability triage using risk-based prioritization and business impact.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely remediation of high-priority risks.
• Conduct platform security assessments, attack surface analysis, and threat modeling.
• Implement real-time security monitoring and threat detection tooling across HPC, cloud, and platform environments.
• Develop automation to continuously assess platform security posture and reduce manual effort.
• Integrate security scanning, vulnerability assessment, and policy enforcement into CI/CD pipelines and IaC workflows.
• Support runtime security, container security, and infrastructure detection in production.
