Job summary

BusPatrol is seeking a Sr Platform Security Engineer to secure its AI-enabled platform by default. You will design controls across AWS multi-account environments, implement least-privilege access, and build reusable Terraform modules and CDK constructs.

The role partners with DevOps, MLOps, IT, and Cyber Security to automate security into pipelines. The role is hybrid in Austin, TX, requiring strong practical security skills, incident response experience, and the ability to reduce delivery

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in cloud/platform security or DevSecOps.
• Hands-on experience securing production AWS environments across multiple accounts.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, GuardDuty, Config, VPC security.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve security controls across AWS multi-account environments.
• Implement least-privilege identity patterns and cross-account access controls.
• Develop policy-as-code and guardrails using IaC tooling and CSPM/SAST pipelines.
• Operate cloud security telemetry and respond to findings and incidents.
• Mentor engineers and partner with security and IT teams.
