Job summary

Zoom is seeking an experienced site reliability engineer to design and maintain automation and monitoring for globally scaled infrastructure. You will drive reliability improvements, optimize performance, and mentor team members.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex system challenges, implement runbooks and SLAs, and participate in on-call rotations to protect customer experience.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language for automation tools.
• Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, fault tolerance, and performance.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and metrics collection in production.
• Strong incident management skills with root-cause analysis and remediation planning.
• Ability to work independently on large-scale projects with accountability.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation frameworks and monitoring solutions for reliability.
• Analyze performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and scalability improvements.
• Lead incident response with cross-functional coordination and preventive actions.
• Develop and maintain runbooks, SLAs, and standard operating procedures.
• Mentor teammates and share knowledge on troubleshooting and infrastructure best practices.
