Job summary

Alkami Technology is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to strengthen platform reliability across the MANTL stack. You will troubleshoot, instrument, and optimize microservices, implement tracing and observability, and collaborate with Cloud Infrastructure and application teams to mitigate incidents.

The role emphasizes proactive resilience, SLO/SLI definition, and robust CI/CD and container orchestration practices in a remote-first US context.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years in software or reliability engineering
• Education aligned with CS/Engineering or equivalent work exp
• Strong TS/Node.js production experience
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices
• Ability to work independently on complex reliability problems
• Excellent written/verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve reliability issues in MANTL platform code and microservices
• Address failure modes across third-party and internal integrations
• Design and maintain monitoring, dashboards, and alerts (Datadog)
• Implement distributed tracing to speed up root-cause analysis
• Diagnose and optimize application performance and caching
• Harden systems via fault-injection and resilience testing
• Build and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
• Manage containerized workloads in Kubernetes for reliability
• Define reliability targets (SLOs/SLIs) for services
• Create runbooks and documentation for platform reliability
• Escalate complex issues with cross-team collaboration
