Job summary

Sinclair Talent Solutions’s client, a profitable venture-backed AI company, seeks a senior IC to own reliability and security for a production agentic AI platform. You will own SLOs, incident response, observability, disaster recovery, and secure AWS/Kubernetes environments, delivering SOC 2 and GLBA evidence while pushing uptime and speed with safety.

Strong hands-on Kubernetes on AWS and GitOps delivery, with TypeScript or Python coding, and a background in regulated environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
• 5–10 years as an IC platform engineer or site reliability engineer.
• Owned infrastructure security in production (IAM, secrets, network policy, audit/compliance), ideally in a regulated environment.
• Deep production Kubernetes on AWS, including service mesh and GitOps-based delivery.
• Hands-on experience managing uptime, reliability, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Strong programming in TypeScript or Python.
• Daily, deep use of frontier AI tools (Claude, Cursor, etc.) in your workflow.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability and security for a production agentic AI platform held to a 99.99% uptime bar.
• Own SLOs, error budgets, incident response, observability, and disaster recovery.
• Get into the infrastructure and delivery pipeline early to make sure fixes ship the right way.
• Identify reliability and delivery gaps, present a plan directly to the CEO and CTO, and close them.
• Improve uptime and deployment speed without compromising security.
• Secure the AWS and Kubernetes platform and produce compliance evidence (SOC 2, NCUA/FFIEC, GLBA)
