Job summary
Alpaca is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on the Platform team to own frameworks, tooling, and CI/CD infrastructure. You will write Go, design automated test frameworks, and dive into Kubernetes as needed.
You will also apply AI-driven tooling to generate tests and catch regressions, turning incidents into durable coverage and elevating overall quality. You will design and build automated test frameworks for REST and gRPC APIs, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and lead load testing, chaos
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer building production systems.
- 1+ year of experience with Go.
- Fluent with AI-assisted engineering and LLM-based tooling.
- Built and maintained CI pipelines (GitHub Actions or Google Cloud Build).
- Designed and built automated test frameworks for microservices.
Responsibilities
- Design and build automated test frameworks across REST and gRPC APIs.
- Use AI/LLM tooling to accelerate test generation and coverage.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Google Cloud Build).
- Design and run load, stress, and scalability tests for growth.
- Introduce chaos engineering to surface failure modes before customers.
- Standardize tooling and infrastructure to improve developer experience.
- Collaborate with teams to raise test coverage and reliability.
- Debug production issues and drive fixes to completion.
- Mentor product engineers, fostering a culture of quality.
