Job summary

Allianz Technology seeks a Senior Manager of Digital Integration & Platform to lead the foundation shared by all digital domains. You will own the API layer, microservices, event streaming, and cloud-native CI/CD on AWS, guiding the integration platform across multiple teams.

You will drive API standards, authentication schemes, data governance, and platform reliability while advancing AI-assisted engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in platform, integration, or backend engineering with 3–4 years leading teams.
• Expertise in Java/Spring Boot microservices; able to review code and discuss architectural tradeoffs.
• Hands-on AWS experience (API Gateway, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudWatch) and event-driven design with Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Own the full API layer across five domains, including design, development, versioning, deprecation, and governance.
• Manage AWS API Gateway configuration, WAF rules, rate limiting, routing, and security policies.
• Enforce API standards for REST, error handling, versioning, and documentation across domains.
• Own API catalog and developer docs to enable self-serve integrations.
• Implement authentication (SSO, JWT, OAuth) across platform entry points and secure credential distribution with Vault.
• Lead the Java/Spring Boot microservices powering core capabilities and service creation (Account, Money Out, Claims, Service Requests).
• Oversee MongoDB per-service schemas, data governance, and per-service versioning.
• Maintain Salesforce CRM and third-party integrations; manage middleware orchestration and data transformation patterns.
