Job summary

DocuSign is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for its Platform Authentication team in Washington. You will define and deliver next-generation authentication infrastructure, including login, SSO, OAuth, token services, session management, and identity lifecycle workflows.

You will lead technical design and mentor engineers in a high-impact, security-sensitive environment. This hybrid role reports to the Manager, Engineering and focuses on building scalable identity services used globally by

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience designing, building, and operating production backend services.
• Experience with authentication and identity systems, including OAuth/OIDC/SAML.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, implementation, and operation of secure, scalable authentication and identity services.
• Own significant technical initiatives from problem definition and design through implementation, launch, and ongoing operation.
• Build highly available APIs and distributed services for authentication, authorization, token issuance, and identity lifecycle workflows.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver reliable solutions.
• Establish engineering practices for security, availability, observability, testing, and incident response.
