Job summary

State Street seeks a deep, hands-on engineering leader to head Data Platform Engineering. You will design, build, and operate enterprise-grade data platforms powering our Data & AI ecosystem across cloud and on-prem environments.

You will lead a global team of 100+ engineers, drive SRE practices, product-minded platform thinking, and agile delivery to ensure reliability, scalability, and rapid adoption of reusable data assets for Investment Services, Wealth, and Global Markets.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience managing large-scale engineering organizations (100+).
• Deep hands-on expertise in data platforms and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud-native and hybrid architectures and large-scale data processing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate data platforms as enterprise products across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Own full platform lifecycle: engineering, deployment, operations, and continuous improvement.
• Lead a global team of 100+ engineers across platform, data, and reliability disciplines.
• Establish SRE practices with SLAs/SLOs, observability, and incident postmortems.
• Drive agile, product-centric delivery with clear roadmaps and customer feedback loops.
