Job summary

Betterment’s Platform Engineering team is seeking a Senior Technical Program & Product Manager to partner with SRE, security, and API platform leaders to evolve platform capabilities that empower engineers across the company.

You will frame problems, align stakeholders, drive execution, measure outcomes, and balance reliability with delivery. The role is NYC-based with hybrid work and a base salary shown.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering cross-team platform roadmaps.
• Ability to influence without direct authority across teams.
• Technical depth in backend systems, APIs and security.
• Strong written and verbal communication with exec audiences.
• Balance short-term delivery with long-term platform health.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end platform initiatives with multiple teams.
• Define priorities and sequence investments for platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with SRE, security, and API platform leaders.
• Track measures of success: reliability, adoption, efficiency.
• Prepare concise updates for platform leadership.
