Job summary

LMI Consulting, LLC is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to lead the design and integration of hybrid cloud and on‑premises computing platforms for federal customers and classified environments. The role focuses on on‑premises cloud infrastructure for compute, storage, and hosting with secure remote connectivity and CDS integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline with 10+ years of platform engineering/architecture experience.
• Experience designing enterprise platforms across hybrid cloud, on-premises, and classified environments for DoD/IC.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS GovCloud/Azure Gov) and multiple cloud platforms.
• Experience with virtualization, containerization, networking, storage, VPNs, and systems integration.
• Understanding of CDS, security requirements, accreditation (NIST RMF).
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to identify platform requirements and translate mission objectives into technical solutions.
• Design and guide secure, scalable on‑premises and hybrid cloud platform architectures.
• Evaluate CDS options and coordinate integration with cybersecurity and engineering teams.
• Develop architectural designs, implementation plans, and engineering recommendations for customer requirements.
• Incorporate security controls and documentation, and support transition to operations.
