Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer (SRE) to help design and operate a high-scale, AI-powered media platform from Europe. You will own distributed systems, storage, and live-event workloads spanning multiple regions, with autonomy on architecture and delivery.

The role emphasizes deep AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code expertise, building a resilient internal platform, optimizing cloud spend, and contributing to security and compliance practices in a fast-moving,

Qualifications

Approximately 6+ years of experience in SRE, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Deep hands-on AWS expertise and strong production experience with Terraform.
Solid experience designing, deploying, and operating Kubernetes in production environments.
Proven experience designing distributed systems rather than simply operating existing infrastructure.
Strong understanding of high availability, multi-region architectures, event-driven systems, and reliability engineering.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code and tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, and Helm.
Strong understanding of cloud storage, large-scale object storage, and data egress economics.
Experience with Kafka is highly valuable.

Responsibilities

Design, build, operate AWS infrastructure across multiple regions.
Develop and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure using Terraform, Terragrunt, and Helm as code.
Design highly available distributed architectures for live-event workloads.
Own large-scale object storage environments (>15 petabytes).
Build and operate event-driven infrastructure using Kafka.
Drive infrastructure cost optimization for storage and data egress.
Contribute to multi-cloud / BYOS architectures and internal developer platforms.
Establish engineering standards for infrastructure definition, modification, and deployment.
Collaborate with engineers to reduce platform friction and ensure reliability.
Strengthen security through vulnerability management and SOC 2 compliance activities.
Participate in on-call rotation and lead production incident responses.
Lead projects end-to-end from discovery to deployment.
Propose RFCs and contribute to architectural decisions.
